Hey TJ... thanks for a great season. Now shut up!
That's what this Jets' fan has to say after reading how running back Thomas Jones called out quarterback Brett Favre during a recent radio interview.

Apparently Jones feels Brett was a lousy teammate and threw lots of picks.
Well, he's right on both fronts -- No. 4 is no saint here -- but that's not the point.
If Jones was such a team leader, wouldn't it have been more productive to speak up during the season when something could be done? You know, like when the Jets were curling into fetal position, choking away a spot in the playoffs.
Or -- gasp -- confront his QB in person.

And sure, Brett stunk it up vs. the Dolphins -- his three picks drew Jones' ire in the controversial interview. But last I checked, TJ didn't exactly burn up the Fish in Week 17 either (23 yards in 10 rushes).
Keep this stuff in house, would ya?
Nobody wants to hear this garbage after a monumental collapse.

I must respectfully disagree with you here Jets blogger. The fact that TJ came out and admitted his dislike of Farve at QB just makes me feel more validated in my belief that it was a HUGE mistake to aquire Farve in the offseason. I dont want him back next season and to be honest am thoroughly disgusted with this team and its ownership. If Woody thinks he can sell PSL seats with a 40 year old broken down QB he should think again. Lets face it Jets fans, this teams is headed no where fast....Today I am embarassed to be a Jets fan.
ReplyDeleteJennifer... Down on Favre a bit, huh? lol You have a right to be -- Brett was awful down the stretch. I'm not so quick to run No. 4 outta town though... I'm afraid of the alternatives if the Pats franchise Matt Cassel, which it looks like they are going to do. Kurt Warner, Kyle Boller and Rex Grossman are pretty bad, and I'm not sure what Kellen Clemens is capable of. Guess we'll see how it shakes out...
